Works great - our bin is actually in a framed pull out drawer, so I had to modify the installation slightly, but works great. Opening has been reliable so far, the USB-C power means it's really easy to run an extension behind the dishwasher rather than putting a socket in behind the bin. You can even run it off a USB battery pack while figuring out what to do. The Alexa bit felt a bit like a gimmick, but is has turned out to be something I use - specially if you're on your way to the bin with your hands full. Overall, a great addition to the kitchen.

The service from Binopolis was 5* - again excellent
BUT
as usual with online retailers the product and the company were badly let down by the delivery company - DPD Local - they get minus 7 stars reducing the score to a net 3. Why?
a) They did not update the delivery system. Binopolis offered 'next working day' delivery - this would be Tuesday. Late Tuesday pm their website was saying that they had been notified but had not yet received the goods. I emailed Binopolis and within a hour the site had been updated.b) It was further updated overnight - Tuesday/Weds and we were given a delivery slot which DPD said COULD NOT be changed
c) We have doorbells fitted throughout the house - my wife has impaired mobility - we heard the doorbell but before I could stand the delivery person hammered on the door so hard it shook. It is well fitting but he hit it so hard the bells on the inside rattled.
d) I went to the door and he fhe had put the parcel on the step. We have a half-door and he fiddled with his phone camera and took my picture. I am in my 70s and he did not offer to help by lifting the box (My wife could simply not have managed it).
e) He then ran off with a 'Have a nice day'
f) I haven't got a good word for him, but Dr John Cooper Clarke has ....
Why online retailers persist in the fiction of 'free delivery' - delivery is NOT free - and continue to use these cut-throat race to the bottom companies puzzles me. We try to only use companies which use reputable delivery systems and would be willing to pay the FEC of delivery.
As it is ... will we buy from Binopolis again? It is very doubtful - sorry - they will have to pay for their decision to use a poor delivery method

So far all is fine. No hassle with the purchase or delivery. Installation a little fiddly for a DIY’er, no words just pictures, but got there in the end. Now functions as expected and looks as though it should be durable. Yes would recommend.

Replacement for existing Hailo bin which was probably 20 years old, and used daily before it finally wore out. Pleased to note that the replacement is an exact replica of the old bin, even to the positioning of mounting fitments; installation was therefore extremely straightforward. Working just as the old one was - perfectly.

I am very happy with the purchase of this product.
It fitted perfectly in an existing pan drawer. Only a minor adjustment had to be done by cutting the edges of the tray to make it sit on the drawer bottom which was very easy to do with a stanley blade.
I thought the bin lids were going to be uncomfortable to manage since they are not attached to the bins, but at the end it is not a big deal.
From the point I made the order to the delivery being made to my work it was all seamless!!

We are very pleased with our purchase. My husband had a few little problems fitting it into the space but soon rectified.
The only issue we had was actually with the delivery. The message said it was delivered and signed for? Not sure who signed , but it wasn't me and my husband wasn't home. We have a loud door bell but I didn't hear that or any knocking. So signed by the plants in the porch maybe??
